Who I represent

As an MSP, I represent all constituents in Mid Scotland and Fife who have any problems with matters that are devolved to the Scottish Parliament.

North-east fifeDevolved matters

  • Health
  • Education
  • Culture and the arts
  • Local government
  • Housing
  • Social work
  • Police and fire services
  • Agriculture
  • Environment
  • Some aspects of transport, including roads and buses
  • Tourism

Reserved matters

The following are known as 'reserved' matters as responsibility for them has remained with the UK Government following devolution. You should approach your MP for assistance on any of these:

  • The Constitution
  • Foreign policy
  • Immigration and nationality
  • Social security (pensions, tax credits, disability benefit etc.)
  • Defence and national security
  • Fiscal and economic affairs
  • Trade and industry
  • Nuclear energy, oil, coal, gas and electricity
  • Employment
  • Some aspects of transport, including national road and rail safety

Your representatives

You can find your representatives in the Scottish, UK and European Parliaments here.

For local concerns you are also represented by several councillors in your ward and you can find them via your council's website below:
