About the region

Find out more about Mid Scotland and Fife.

Tay rail bridgeThe parliamentary region of Mid Scotland and Fife is one of the most naturally beautiful in Scotland with a rich cultural heritage exhibited by its historic towns and villages, battle sites, monuments and castles.

Stretching from St Andrews in the east to Ben Lomond in the west, the area is hugely diverse in its geography and in turn its wildlife and opportunity for outdoor activities.

Mid Scotland and Fife includes landmarks such as St Andrews University, the third oldest university in the English-speaking world; Blair Castle, surrounded by beautiful gardens first laid out in the 18th century; and the Wallace Monument in Stirling, 246 steps up to a panoramic view across Scotland to rival any other.

You can find out more on what’s to see and do in the area via Visit Scotland.
